Hang Over from the REDs

Its passed 1 week now since the departure of LFC from shores of Malaysia but I still have that little buzz in me that still lingers in me kind of like a Hang over from a great night out.

My fiancee (Denise) and I was the many few lucky people that were able to stay at OneWorld Hotel (had to pay for it). It was a great experience as we were able to get glimpses of many LFC players and backroom staffs. Best of all was to get autographs and our photos taken with legends and current players which I don't think even fans at Anfield are able to do.

It has been the luckiest time for me as I was given many opportunities to meet and greet most of the backroom staffs and LFC players. You can say being at the right place at the right time did wonders for me. (Thank you Hitz FM, Jason of Standard Chartered & Jeb of GAB). With their kind hospitality, I did all the things I wanted on day One itself. I was able to relax and enjoy the comfort of my hotel suite with my fiancee for the rest of the 2 days we were staying. Many of my friends was just wondering how come I was not seen at Pavilion, The Gardens, Giza Mall or even at the team's training on Thursday evening as they know that I was a very crazy LFC fan. My answer to them was I was lucky enough to have most of the signatures earlier in the day so therefore I didn't have to run around looking for them.

I was so excited that LFC was actually coming to KL and I was not the only fan in KL that was, there were 84,999 other fans that jammed packed Bukit Jalil Stadium on match day. It was a scene to be remembered. It was a sea of red, with banners, flags and plank card every where. I truly salute you The Kopites of Malaysia, not forgetting the fans from other parts of the world too for turning Bukit Jalil Stadium into Anfield's KOP end. Endless songs, anthems and chants were heard around the stadium the whole time. I can rest assured that the players and staffs of LFC was astounded by the near capacity of the stadium, the songs and the sight. I am sure they will remember this tour for the rest of their life. Just read this link from LFC themselves http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/latest-news/from-lfc-thank-you-asia

It was nice to meet some very old friends from Taiwan, Singapore and Indonesia catching up on the latest and a little bit of gossips, I couldn't believe it as its been two years already since we met in Singapore the last time. Met some new friends too from Vietman. Click the link as there are more photos on the Asia Tour KL leg.. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.191944680864428.49835.100001466931909

At the end I must say we Malaysian did ourselves proud as we prove we are after all 1Malaysia, showing true Malaysia hospitality to whole LFC entourage and to our fellow Kopites from Asian countries. We did out do our neighbor Singapore this time and will be hard for anyone to beat after the bench mark set by us The Kopites of Malaysia. I can't wait for LFC next visit said to be two years from now. Lets hope it will again be in KL.

For now I just have to wait for the new season (11/12) to start on the 13th of August 2011 where LFC will play against Sunderland at Anfield. The REDs will rise again and will challenge for the 19th title.

When you walk through the storm, hold your heads up high and don't be afraid of the dark, At the end of the storm is a golden sky and a sweet silver song of a lark,
Walk on, walk on, with hopes in our heart and You Never walk Alone..
