RISE OF THE RED TITIANS

Image
Finally the start of the new BPL season is here, most of us football fanatics have been waiting for 3 months now. Luckily for LFC fans we were only deprived not that long ago as LFC was on tour in our very own shores. Unfortunately for Spurs and Everton they have to wait for a few more days before they start their campaign, the rest of the 9 matches will played as shedule. So how will LFC fare this round? Many have already placed LFC to be 4th or 5th by end of May 2012, for me I strictly believe LFC can go as high as 2nd and maybe, maybe challenge for the Premier League and the FA CUP. I am actually quite excited about this coming season as there are many new believes in the squad especially with so much money spend on new players and I believe that there will be more players coming in before the transfer window closes at the end of August. With the new additions of Adam, Henderson, Doni, Downing and Enrique, there are enough depth in the squad for LFC to go for most of the ...

Hang Over from the REDs

Image
Its passed 1 week now since the departure of LFC from shores of Malaysia but I still have that little buzz in me that still lingers in me kind of like a Hang over from a great night out. My fiancee (Denise) and I was the many few lucky people that were able to stay at OneWorld Hotel (had to pay for it). It was a great experience as we were able to get glimpses of many LFC players and backroom staffs. Best of all was to get autographs and our photos taken with legends and current players which I don't think even fans at Anfield are able to do. It has been the luckiest time for me as I was given many opportunities to meet and greet most of the backroom staffs and LFC players. You can say being at the right place at the right time did wonders for me. (Thank you Hitz FM, Jason of Standard Chartered & Jeb of GAB). With their kind hospitality, I did all the things I wanted on day One itself. I was able to relax and enjoy the comfort of my hotel suite with my fiancee for the rest of ...

PAINTING KL RED!!

Image
Its been 2 years now since the last time I watch Liverpool Fc played live. I had such a great time in Singapore with all my fellow REDS from all over the world that it felt so much like I was in Liverpool itself. All the pre-match running around looking for players all over Singapore town and drinks the night before at Harry's Bar at Chimes where for the 1st time in Harry's Bar history they sold out all their bottle beers. So when the match day came we were all so excited and were at the Kallang Stadium by 4pm. Anticipation was so high for us to get into the stadium and true to the spirit of Kopites, the stadium was already in anthems and cheers even before the players were due to come in for warming up. It felt so much like The Kop End in Anfield. On the 16Th of July, we Malaysians will have the privilege of watching our Red heroes on our very own shores. We have seen many Liverpool players coming in and out of KL but they have been the masters or legends like Ian Rush or John...

Moving on UP!!!

Image
Twelve games have passed, LFC is sitting in 9th place with 16 points in the BPL league (could have been 5th with 18 points if we had won). I am truly happy with the four straight wins including the one that LFC gunned down Chelsea, but the only thing that still bugs me is that how come Roy Hodgson still approaches games with very defensive mode? We could have won the match against Wigan on Wednesday if he had made a more attacking approach and offensive instructions to the players. Instead of putting in a more attacking formation when you are tied at 1-1, our dear Mr Hudgson when on and became even more defensive by introducing another defensive midfielder (C. Poulsen) and Jonjo Shelvey, he could have just played Jovanovic or Ngog for more attacking mode. In the first place the whole set up was suppose to be the same team that beat Chealsea on Sunday but what I saw was the same team with no sense of winning but to come out with a draw from the start. The tactics was to stay deep and de...

Why All The Knives???

Image
I know that the past 5 weeks have not been easy on any of Liverpool FC's fans to endure. The team has not really played all that well, things in the boardroom also have not been kind. Rumours of businessmen from China, Hong Kong, another Americans and Arabian Royalty buying over the club has just passed and gone. Come first week of October, we might have a new owner at LFC and all us fans really hope that this time it will happen once an for all. With RBS forcing sale on the club I should think by then there will be more bids from potential buyers. The only thing that I am not happy about is that all the "HOO HAA" from the press when Liverpool Fc plays badly, why are they always picking on LFC? When the team wins, there are no praises, when there are draws they say that the team is not clicking and should have won and the worst of all, when the team loses, the press will blame everything from the boardroom to the kitmen. Why aren't there any bad press on MU, Arsenal, ...

New Season.. New Hope!!

The English Premier League will be kicking off the new season 10/11 this coming Saturday . All the teams have already brought in new players to strengthen the squad to try to get into the top 4. Welcome back Newcastle United, Blackpool and WBA to the BPL. They will be fighting to stay up. My thought for this season, my heart will of course be with Liverpool to win the elusive league title for the 19th time but realistically I am looking at either Chelsea or MU as they do look strong. 3rd and 4th again will be between Gunners and Red of Liverpool. As for Man City and Spurs.... I see them around the top half of the table, Villa and Fulham will join them there. The rest of the teams, I don't see them challenging the top too much. This season looks promising for Liverpool as they now have a new Manager Roy Hodgson. So far he has done a not too bad job by getting in Joe Cole from Chelsea and it does seem to be working. With Gerrard and Torres staying put this season, Liverpool may have ...

"The Carlsberg Angels" Of course all the members were trying very hard to get photos of the "Carlsberg Angels" You will get the privilege to take photos with the angels if you are one of the sponsors.. lucky me!! Anyway it was a great night and all of us had loads of fun. Thanks Carlsberg for a great night and free flow of beer and food. Just hope that there will be more similar nights to come in the near future.
